Is an electronic (digital) platform for capturing, storing processing, retrieval and patient’s medical records (history). The application is maintained and managed within the health facility (hospital).

This platform contains demographics, vital signs, past medical history, immunizations, laboratory data, and radiology data, progress notes, problems, medications, ward management (admission), referrals, utilities management, billings,health plan, alerts (restock level, drug expiration etc.), different types reports etc.

Laboratory Module: this module is a very flexible way or managing all Laboratory order within the system, avails an interface to manage the status of each sample which allows others to know exactly what is happening with individual investigation and who is handling the order, the module also allow the integration of several sections of the laboratory on the platform.

Radiology Module: This module is implemented to acquire results(images) from imaging equipment’s that can output digital results, thereby reducing the cost of investigation and creates easy of retrieval of images and result. The module also provide the status of every investigation as it is updated to know how far the investigation process has gone and when to expect result.

Appointment Module: patient appointment management can sometime be hectic with this module it easy the appoint scheduling process and provides a detailed calendar that enables the facilities to see appointment with just the click of a button. The appointment listing and calendar is a great feature for managing appointments.

Pharmacy Module: Health facilities often have more than one pharmacy dispensing point this module allow for the health facility to manage each dispensing point individually while been integrated together, with reorder level alert, Query prescription tool, drug expiration date alert etc.

Patient Pool Module: this module enables the management of the facility to have a glimpse on how patients are been serviced and their movement from one section to the other with an overview of activities currently happen (real time) within the health facility.

Ward Management Module: Often the time it takes to collate or search files to see bed allocation is very tangible and with implementation of Cognotus EHR is saved and used for better productivity within the health facility, this modules manages, the bed allocation within each ward, with provision to estimate expected discharge date based on patient’s response to treatment thereby potentially allowing for booking/reservation of bed spaces in case of surgery etc. It also allows for closing(make a bed idle/close) for several purposes such as repair etc.
